What "Zero" Wants From You

Published: Sat, 12/21/13

Birthing isn't just for mothers.

In fact, what if I told you birthing
is for everyone - and that suffering
is optional?

I know this probably sounds like a
headline off the cover of an Enquirer
magazine, but it's true.

Of course, I'm not talking about
having babies. I'm talking about
creativity, something we've all got
and use every day - consciously or
unconsciously (that's the tricky part).

It comes lock, stock, and barrel with
our Divinity.

Creativity's one of the things Mindy Audlin,
author of "What If It All Goes Right?"
talked about at my recent event in Austin.

I loved the story of her interview with
author Elizabeth Gilbert, where she asked
Liz if suffering was a necessary part of
birthing her bestselling book, "Eat, Pray, Love"
- because sometimes people refer to the
"labor pains" of bringing forth a piece of art,
literature, or music.

Liz said she didn't feel like she had given
birth to it, but that, "It was more like the
book gave birth to me."

And that insight, Mindy said, completely altered
her view of the creative process.

She thought, "What if we're not here on this planet
to create new things? What if those 'things' already
exist in the field of Infinite Possibilities for the
purpose of creating a new 'us'?"

In other words, what if it's simply the Divine's
way of opening us up to who and what we are?

Hmmm...this would definitely put the ego in its
proper place - in service to the Divine.

I'm not saying ego's a bad thing. Actually, it
plays an important role in helping you get things
done in the world. The problem arises when you let
it steer your life. It's like looking out a porthole
on a ship - you can barely see water on the horizon,
let alone the whole ocean.

The ego simply cannot see the totality of the universe.

The Divine can.

It's all about surrender.

For example, a few years ago, I got a whisper in my ear
to start playing music and felt it was coming from the
Divine. At first, my ego said, "I can't do that. I'm not
a musician. I love guitars, but I don't know how to play
them. I can't sing. I can't write songs. I can't perform.
I can't make an album."

Once I remembered that my ego is suppose to serve the
Divine, it became a matter of, "Okay, I don't know how
I'm going to do this, but, yes, show me the way."

Six albums later, the rest is history.

But I couldn't...I wouldn't...have done it if I hadn't let
the Divine take the lead - and I wouldn't be where I am now,
an accomplished musician.

I call it being at "Zero."

Zero is alive...it will inspire you, and this leads to
inspired action. (I've revealed everything I know in my
newest book "At Zero: The Final Secret to Zero Limits" and
my new Nightingale-Conant audio program, "The Zero Point:
How to Enter the Realm of Limitless Possibilities").

At Zero, the Divine can ask the ego to do anything -
create music, write a cookbook, or open a restaurant.

And "Zero" wants you to fulfill your mission.

It's just waiting to be born in you...

I wonder what that is, for you....?

Think about it.

Love
